Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe care environment.

The PCT will communicate effectively with the care team, follow safety protocols, and participate in performance improvement initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Collect and record vital signs, height, weight, oxygen saturation, intake/output, and calorie counts; report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility assistance.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
