Kana Hotel Group in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a friendly Front Desk Associate to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain a welcoming lobby for all arrivals. This role focuses on accurate check-in/out, cash handling, and clear communication with guests.

You will explain amenities, assist with requests, document incidents, and ensure the front desk remains clean, organized, and ready to greet guests with a warm, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience handling cash and credit card procedures.
• Attention to detail and organized.
• Knowledge of local area and attractions.

Responsibilities

• Review guaranteed arrivals and verify credit cards.
• Ensure day use rooms are marked as dirty for housekeeping.
• Explain and provide promotional items to guests checking in.
• Explain hotel amenities to guests (free breakfast, spa, fitness center, etc.).
• Document new commercial customer check-ins for potential new accounts.
• Inquire why rooms are blocked and coordinate maintenance to unblock.
• Ensure rollaway beds and cribs are correctly listed in the system.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternatives.
• Cover other hotel areas as needed.
• Document guest accidents with the accident report form.
• Maintain maintenance logs for reported issues.
• Keep front desk areas clean and organized.
• Greet guests warmly and take initiative in service.
• Other duties as assigned.
