Purpose

The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing room, restaurant, and bar daily operations. This includes posting and balancing charges and settlements efficiently, maintaining files, and resetting systems for the next day.

Essential Functions

1. Prepare daily revenue reports by auditing POS tapes/journals, breaking down revenue, covers, waiter fees, tips, and settlements by type and cashier.
2. Run audit reports from the front office system, POS, and computer; make corrections and handle system issues.
3. Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports such as Guest Ledger Summary and Restaurant Summary.
4. Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset systems for the next day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of guest service experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Prior night audit or accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail, customer focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
