Job summary

Olde Naples Hotel is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to oversee nightly financials, postings, and front desk support from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The position totals 40 hours per week and is full-time.

Responsibilities include posting charges, balancing accounts, verifying rates, and preparing end-of-day procedures. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic auditing knowledge, and comfort with PMS systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of auditing, balancing, and end-of-day closing processes.
• Ability to operate PMS, PCs, and front desk equipment.
• Understanding of emergency procedures and safety protocols.
• High school diploma required; prior hospitality experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
• Process guest charges vouchers and credit card vouchers.
• Balance daily postings and verify room rates and folios.
• Prepare end-of-day procedures and night audit checklist.
• Record and file reservations for the next day.
• Assist front desk during check-in/out as needed.
• Respond to guest needs and escalate issues to management.

Job description

We are looking to add a Night Auditor to our team. This position is for someone who thrives while others sleep, is comfortable owning guest opportunities and enjoys working when it's quiet. This position is Full-Time and the hours are 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Shifts range but will total 40 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts
• Processes guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers
• Post charges to the guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift
• Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts
• Checks to see that all charges are assigned to the appropriate departments
• To verify that all transactions performed at the front desk are supported by documentary evidence and signatures as necessary and that they have been correctly posted and allocated in to PMS system
• To Verify that all charges posted from the POS Software, SPA software had reached the correct guest folios and also not missing
• Prints up and files reservations for the next business day
• Verifies all account postings and balances
• Verifies that room rates are correct and posts those rates to guest accounts
• Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs
• Is able to function as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures
• Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities
• Summarizes results of operations for management
• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
• Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information
• Prepare of End of day procedure
• Follow the End of Day / Night Audit Checklist (Must Read !)
• Balance the day's charges, making corrections as necessary
• Performs wake-up calls
• Run end of day process in property management software (PMS)
• Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed

Qualifications:

• Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts
• Knows how to operate PMS, PC's, and other front office equipment
• Must have complete knowledge of emergency procedures
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience is a plus
