Job summary

A-1 Hospitality Group in Hood River, OR is seeking a friendly Night Auditor to assist guests with check-in, check-out, and cashiering in a fast-paced hotel environment, ensuring accuracy and a positive guest experience.

You will balance the nightly audit, review guaranteed arrivals, process payments, respond to guest inquiries, document incidents, coordinate with maintenance, and email required reports to designated staff. Hospitality and cash handling experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous hospitality experience preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience handling cash, credit card procedures, and basic math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Review guaranteed arrivals and verify credit cards.
• Explain and provide promotional items to guests at check-in.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternatives.
• Cover other areas of the hotel as needed and greet guests warmly.

Are you friendly and able to work in a fast-paced environment? The Hotel Night Auditor attends to guests' needs, included, but not limited to, registration, checkout, and cashiering.

Responsibilities

• Review all guaranteed arrivals and verify that all credit cards are valid by running numbers that are not already in house
• Explain and provide any promotional items to each guest checking in
• Responds promptly to any guest inquiries or complaints and offer an alternate solution if guest demand cannot be met
• Cover other areas of hotel as needed
• Document any guest accidents by completing the accident report form
• Complete the maintenance log whenever a complaint is reported
• Maintain all areas of the front desk
• Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
• Prepare and balance the nightly audit
• Email all necessary reports to designated people.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required
• Previous experience in hospitality preferred
• Customer service experience required
• Experience handling cash, credit card procedures, and use math concepts
• Attention to detail and organized
