Pay Starting At: $19.20/hour

Overview

The Front Desk Night Clerk will serve as an ambassador to the hotel, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering incoming calls, and upholding Guest Service Standards. Responsibilities include nightly accounting and assisting housekeeping during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording financial data, performing routine accounting duties, and verifying business transaction accuracy.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, and daily operations.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Manage and secure cash and bank deposits.
• Record pertinent information in log books.
• Process payments, adjustments, rebates, and credits.
• Operate the Property Management System and maintain system security.
• Verify and correct reports and postings, including room rates and banquet charges.
• Reconcile telephone and miscellaneous accounts.
• Backup system files and ensure all checks are closed and logged.
• Generate and distribute daily reports and run end-of-day procedures.
• Review and verify work with relief staff and document maintenance needs.
• Attend departmental meetings and training as required.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a similar hotel role.
• Availability to work overnight shifts (11 pm - 7 am).
• Basic computer skills required.
