Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Night Auditor for our Carmel, IN property. The Night Auditor works at the front desk during the night, ensuring quality and integrity of the hotel and performing nightly close procedures.

The role includes balancing accounts, upselling to increase revenue, handling check-ins/outs, and delivering outstanding guest service while maintaining security and hotel standards. Previous front desk experience is preferred, with strong English communication and computer

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Front Desk Agent is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Familiarity with computers and hotel management software.
• Experience with office equipment (copier, printer, fax, telephone).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Balance day-shift accounts and complete nightly close.
• Welcome guests on arrival and assign rooms.
• Manage front desk check-ins and check-outs.
• Inform guests about payment methods and verify IDs.
• Collect guest information for registrations and stays.
• Coordinate wake-up calls and guest requests.
• Respond to guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Prepare invoices, bills, and vendor/employee checks.
• Maintain and update all role-related documentation.
• Ensure end-of-day processes are completed.
• Answer calls about potential bookings and inquiries.
• Provide information on rooms, rates, and amenities.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready on time.
