Job summary

The Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Night Auditor Supervisor in Chicago, IL to balance hotel income and expenses for each 24-hour period and support the overnight front desk as a Guest Service Agent.

You will act as the system liaison for Opera during night hours, handling tickets and ensuring accurate reporting while delivering Sonesta's guest service standards across the overnight shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of hotel experience preferred as Guest Service Agent and Night Auditor.
• Reading/writing skills used for records and registrations.
• Fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math; percentages and variances helpful.
• Microsoft Office and Opera systems experience preferred.
• Stand/walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Balance and audit room revenue, food/bev revenue, and telephone revenue.
• Balance room tax charges, cashier reports, and guest house accounts.
• Prepare daily management reports and monthly end packs.
• Register guests, issue keys, and explain hotel services.
• Process cash and card transactions per procedures; manage deposits.
• Assist with guest reservations and up-sell to maximize revenue.
