Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a day shift, full-time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, supervise and coordinate care with other staff, and report to the Nurse Manager.

Requirements include active RN license with the New Jersey Board of Nursing, graduation from an NLN/AACN-accredited program, BLS within 14 days of hire, NRP certification, and 1–2 years NICU or

Qualifications

• RN license issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Graduation from an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or ARC equivalent.
• 1–2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• The RN Staff Nurse provides direct patient care for a specified neonatal population.
• Directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Reports to the Nurse Manager.
