Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• NRP Certification or the American Red Cross (ARC).
• 1–2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.
• Preferred Job Requirements: Neonatal Nursing certification.

Responsibilities

• RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
