Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a day shift, full-time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse will care for NICU patients and coordinate care with physicians and support services under the direction of the Nurse Manager.

Requirements include NJ RN license, NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, BLS, and NRP or ARC certification, with 1–2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery experience. Neonatal certification preferred.

Qualifications

• RN staff nurse in NICU; requires NJ nursing license and NLN/AACN-accredited program.
• BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• NRP or ARC certification required.
• 1–2 years NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for a specific patient population to achieve outcomes.
• Provide leadership by delegating, validating, evaluating, and coordinating care.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Report to the Nurse Manager.
