Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the NICU night shift. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise neonatal patient care, coordinating with physicians and other disciplines to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include documenting plans of care, admitting patients, performing assessments, and providing basic NICU care. Proficient in electronic health records, with a Florida RN license and BLS; NRP within 1 year is required.

Qualifikationen

• RN license in Florida or eNLC in good standing
• BLS must be active
• NRP certification within 1 year of hire
• Competency assessment at 6 months in Critical Care setting

Aufgaben

• Communicates patient progress and changes in condition to physicians and care team
• Plans, implements, and documents the care plan with other disciplines
• Performs nursing assessments and reassessments as needed
• Provides neonate care (feeding, bathing, diapering, basic care) and monitors devices
• Completes admission history and discharge planning per policy
• Documents in the electronic health record accurately and timely
• Educates patients and families about health needs and treatments
• Follows physician orders and medication administration rights
• Maintains safe environment and handoffs to reduce errors and infections
• Securely manages endotracheal tubes and skin integrity as needed
• Delivers bedside reports at shift change and handles specimens
