Nicklaus Children’s in Coral Springs, FL is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on a full-time night shift. You will render professional nursing care, administer medications, and coordinate care under physician treatment plans in a family-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Compact (eNLC) – active and in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS – active and in good standing throughout employment.
• American Heart Association PALS within 1 year of hire.
• NRP within 1 year of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments (head-to-toe, vitals, dressings, suction, feeding, bathing, repositioning).
• Reviews admission history and completes discharge planning per hospital policies.
• Communicates patient progress and changes with physicians and care teams.
• Plans and documents the care plan with multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Performs IV monitoring, specimen collection, and assists with procedures.
• Administers medications per physician orders and follows the six rights of medication administration.
• Collaborates in daily rounds and supports family-centered care.
• Documents accurately in the electronic health record.
• Educates patients and families about disease processes, home care, and safety.
• Ensures safe, high-quality care while addressing concerns promptly.
