Job summary

Baptist Health seeks a NICU Registered Nurse for the Night shift to oversee care on the unit, coordinate nursing activities, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The RN will perform assessments, planning, and interventions using the nursing process while collaborating with physicians and clinicians.

This role requires active RN licensure, BLS, and nursing education with BSN preferred; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing required; BSN degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure required; BLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certifications may be required depending on area assigned.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on shift and coordinate activities to ensure quality patient care.
• Coordinate weekend and holiday coverage and assist as needed.
• Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, care planning, and interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementing patient care.
