Job summary

Miami Children’s Hospital in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced RN for the NICU on the night shift. The role requires comprehensive nursing care, careful medication administration, and close collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

You will educate families, document care in the electronic record, and participate in continuous quality improvement while adhering to high standards of patient safety and Magnet‑designated hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN license in Florida or multi‑state compact, active and in good standing.
• BLS required; PALS and NRP within 1 year of hire; ACLS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide care per plan.
• Administer and monitor medications and IV therapies with safety checks.
• Communicate patient status and changes with physicians and team.
• Develop, implement, and document the plan of care with multidisciplinary staff.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient handoffs.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatments, and home care.
• Support Magnet standards and patient rights in daily practice.
• Float to units as needed and participate in on‑call coverage.
