Job summary

Advocate Health's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Pineville is seeking a skilled RN to join our 36-hour/week night schedule. The role emphasizes coordinating comprehensive patient care for critically ill newborns, collaborating with neonatologists and inter-professional teams in a high-acuity setting.

Minimum requirements include an accredited nursing program completion, an active RN license, and BLS; NRP is recommended within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Recommended within 6 months of hire or per local or site-specific policy of standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
