Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a compassionate NICU RN for night shifts to deliver patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. You will perform clinical assessments, autonomously manage treatment, and work with a dedicated team to support families and improve outcomes.

The role emphasizes teaching families, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and fostering Kangaroo Care while ensuring safety and high-quality neonatal care in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license (or approved multistate license) required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start
• NRP-Neonatal (AHA Healthcare provider) required
• 1 year RN experience in NICU is preferred
• BSN is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides age specific care regarding physiological and nutritional needs of the neonate
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams in planning patient care
• Facilitates bonding of infant and family, including Kangaroo Care
• Reassures parents by providing education/explanations in easily understood terms to reduce stress
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
