Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions, Inc. is seeking advanced psychiatric practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF psychiatry team in Rhode Island. This role focuses on geriatric behavioral health in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

We offer a compensation package with base salary plus incentives, generous PTO, CEU allowances, and access to AI note-taking tools to streamline documentation and reduce after-hours charting. This full-time position is located in Newport, RI.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Rhode Island by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Rhode Island Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners(PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Rhode Island.
