Behavioral Health Solutions in Rhode Island is seeking Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team. You will provide direct psychiatric care to geriatric residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities, delivering evidence-based treatment plans. The role emphasizes stability, support, and flexibility, with PTO, CEU allowances, and AI note-taking tools to streamline documentation and reduce after-hours charting.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Rhode Island with a psychiatry focus.
• Pharmacy license in RI to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• Minimum 1 year geriatric psychiatry experience.
• Minimum 1 year providing treatment in SNFs or Acute Rehab.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-5 disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff cases with psychiatrists.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners(PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Rhode Island. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Rhode Island by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Rhode Island Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
