Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions, Inc. is seeking Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team in Newark, NJ. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive behavioral health care to the geriatric population in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Qualifications

• Licensed in New Jersey in good standing with psychiatry focus.
• Licensed by the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience.
• 1 year of treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Consider psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in New Jersey. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in New Jersey by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
