Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team in Washington. The role focuses on providing comprehensive behavioral health services to geriatric patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities and LTAC settings, with a compensation model featuring base salary plus incentives.

The ideal candidate will be WA‑licensed, have 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience, and be able to navigate psychopharmacology and DSM‑V based treatment

Qualifications

• Licensed in Washington by the appropriate state boards (Nursing and Pharmacy) in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience.
• Minimum 1 year providing treatment in Skilled Nursing Facilities or equivalent.
• Experience with DSM‑V diagnosis and treatment planning is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess mental status and diagnose DSM‑V disorders to develop treatment plans.
• Apply psychopharmacology and non‑pharmacological treatment options as part of care.
• Staff clinical cases with collaborating psychiatrists.
• Collaborate with nursing and facility teams to ensure continuity of care.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners(PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Washington. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.


• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.


• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.


• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.


• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.


• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)


• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.


• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
