Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking an Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP/PA-C) to join its SNF Psychiatry team in Washington. Qualifications

• Licensed as a PMHNP in Washington or eligible, with prescriptive authority (DEA).
• Experience with geriatric psychiatry in SNF/long-term care settings.
• Strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment-planning skills.
• Proficient in psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological strategies.

Responsabilités

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess mental status and diagnose DSM-5/DSM-5-TR disorders.
• Develop and monitor treatment plans; adjust medications as needed.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and nursing staff to coordinate care.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Washington. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.


• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.


• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.


• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.


• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.


• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)


• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.


• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Skills

• Flexible, organized, and functions under stressful situations.


• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
