The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) seeks a laboratory professional to supervise the Newborn Screening Program lab. You will oversee staff, ensure CLIA and HIPAA compliance, and manage daily testing workflows for critical newborn disease screening.

Responsibilities include analytical testing, staff training, instrument maintenance, and adherence to SOPs. Residency is required for Colorado residents, with on-site duties at the CSPHL facility.

Competenze

• Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in chemical/biological/medical lab science or related field.
• Or an associate degree with approved educational equivalents.
• Clinical laboratory training program approved by ABHES/CAAHEP; or 3 months high-complexity testing training.

Mansioni

• Supervise laboratory testing staff in the Newborn Screening Program and manage work unit operations.
• Ensure CLIA/HIPAA compliance and adherence to SOPs.
• Oversee quality performance, coaching, training records, and performance plans.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and instrument maintenance; train staff on maintenance.
• Perform and supervise analytical testing for newborn screening conditions and ensure proper specimen handling.
