Job summary

You will conduct chemical, hematological and molecular testing, maintain quality control and records, and perform routine equipment maintenance within the Office of Newborn Screening. This role requires a strong foundation in laboratory science and compliance with state and federal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or clinical laboratory science.
• Knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and clinical laboratory methods.
• Skills in molecular and chemical laboratory testing and interpretation.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and Federal/State clinical testing standards.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Valid driver's license.

• Conduct laboratory analyses on dried blood spots from newborns to identify metabolic disorders.
