The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment seeks a Laboratory Technology IV to supervise the Newborn Screening Program laboratory staff, oversee daily testing, and ensure high-quality results for critical newborn conditions. You will guide assay validation, staff training, and QA/QC processes in a CLIA/HIPAA compliant setting.

Responsibilities include overseeing workflow, maintaining instruments, and advising on testing methodologies while ensuring compliance with state policies

Competenze

• Earned a bachelor’s/master’s/doctoral degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or equivalent training.
• Laboratory training program approved or accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP; or equivalent extensive lab experience.

Mansioni

• Supervise laboratory testing staff in the Newborn Screening Program and manage workflow and schedules.
• Perform analytical testing to identify newborns at risk for listed conditions.
• Maintain instruments and perform routine QA/QC and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA and HIPAA requirements and SOP adherence.
