Job summary

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Newborn ICU in Manassas, VA. You will lead patient care, collaborate with physicians, and support the care team to deliver individualized plans and optimal health outcomes.

Requires graduating from an accredited nursing program and RN license; 1 year of relevant experience preferred. CPI certification within 3 months may be required for certain units; position is nonexempt and on-site with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• CPI certification within three months of hire for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and CSSO.

Responsibilities

• Acts with patient advocacy when implementing the interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Ensures completion of nursing interventions, medical orders, and other therapies.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and support system; documents in a timely manner.
• Administers medications, starts IVs, manages transfers and bed/stretcher transports.
