Job summary

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Newborn ICU on a PRN days schedule. You will lead care coordination, collaborate with physicians, and provide comprehensive newborn nursing in a high-acuity NICU setting.

Qualified candidates hold a Nursing degree with RN licensure in Virginia and demonstrate strong multitasking, communication, and clinical skills. The role requires on-site work with on-call responsibilities and potential cross-campus travel.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in applicable state
• CPI certification within three months of hire for Behavioral Health, ED, CSSO
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; 4-year/BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team and establish an authentic patient relationship.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Provide and document patient care under supervision of Nurse Manager.
• Perform nursing interventions, medications administration, and patient transfers as needed.
• Maintain timely documentation and use SBARQ for effective communication.
