Job summary

UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper seeks a Registered Nurse for the Newborn ICU to provide individualized, evidence-based care and support to newborn patients and their families.

The nurse will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered service. Nights and PRN shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• RN licensure in applicable state required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the healthcare team by establishing an authentic relationship with the patient and family.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Provide and document patient care under supervision per policies and procedures.
• Utilize SBARQ for effective communication within the team and with families.
