Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to conduct on-site hearing screens in hospital settings and educate families on the importance of early intervention.

The role offers on-the-job training with annual American Academy of Audiology certification. Candidates should be able to work weekends/holidays and meet physical requirements. Training provided at St Lukes Regional Medical Center locations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and CPR certification.
• Weekend and holiday shifts required, flexibility essential.
• Ability to learn and follow hospital policies and data entry processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on results.
• Assess screen readiness and perform screenings accordingly.
• Collect baby data and ensure accurate documentation.
• Upload results and associated billing/state reporting daily.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-ups.
• Handle duties as assigned and maintain patient education.
