Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and educate families about the importance of early intervention.

The role offers on-site shifts at hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology–accredited certification to ensure high-quality care and accurate documentation throughout the screening process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained on offer.
• Weekend and national holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens and educate parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Comply with PPE, vaccinations and hospital safety guidelines; raise questions to the HS Manager as needed.
• Assess screen readiness and only screen appropriate babies to ensure reliable results.
• Collect data for each baby and document all screen results per protocol.
• Explain results to families and provide appropriate follow-up instructions.
• Upload screen results, billing, and state reporting by the end of each shift.
