Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and educate families on results and next steps. This on-site role requires compassionate care, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate data entry.

You will complete on-the-job training, earn annual American Academy of Audiology certification, and work shifts that may include weekends/holidays at St Lukes Regional Medical Center locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in entry-level healthcare
• High school diploma or GED required
• CPR certification required or to be obtained upon offer
• Weekend and holiday availability required

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens on eligible newborns in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the relevance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Collect patient data and ensure accurate documentation for each screen.
• Adhere to PPE, vaccinations, safety, and hospital policies; escalate concerns to HS Manager.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed screenings and final refer babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
