Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings. You will work on-site at one or more hospitals, screen newborns for hearing loss, and provide education to parents on the importance of early intervention.

The role includes on-the-job training with annual American Academy of Audiology certification, supporting reliable results, and collaborating with care teams to ensure timely follow-up and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens on newborns in hospital settings.
• Educate parents about the importance of early intervention.
• Collect and document census data and screen results accurately.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when needed.
• Maintain documentation and reporting by end of each shift.
