Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings, on-site at one or more locations. You will receive on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology accredited certification to improve early detection of hearing impairments.

Responsibilities include screening eligible newborns, collecting demographics, educating families, and ensuring timely documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the relevance of hearing screening and early intervention.
• Ensure data collection and accurate documentation for each screen.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and maintain proper reporting.
