Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based screening for newborns, provide parent education, and support early detection of hearing loss.

You will screen infants, ensure data accuracy, comply with safety protocols, and coordinate with site staff. On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Entry level; 1–3 months of newborn/medical exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Collect data and demographics for each baby and document results.
• Educate parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Maintain safety, PPE, and hospital procedures compliance.
• Schedule outpatient follow-up for refer babies when applicable.
