The role includes data collection, adherence to safety and compliance, and coordinating follow‑ups when screens indicate refer results. On‑the‑job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification support your growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings during each shift.
• Provide parent education on screening importance and follow‑up steps.
• Collect data and ensure accurate documentation per protocol.
• Maintain patient and family confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Prepare screens efficiently while preserving quality and safety.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and coordinate follow‑ups.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when needed.
• Adhere to PPE, vaccination, and compliance requirements.
• Operate within hospital policies and contribute to team goals.
