Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screenings for newborns. On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain on offer
• Weekend and national holiday work required

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents about results
• Ensure screen readiness and reliable results
• Collect data and demographics for each baby; complete documentation
• Upload screen results and billing information by end of shift
• Notify supervisor of missed and refer babies
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow safety protocols
