Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings. You will provide education to parents about screening importance and early intervention, working on-site at Hendersonville Medical Center. Training is provided with annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology.

The role is entry level, requiring a high school diploma or GED and CPR certification, with weekend and holiday availability. Shift starts at 9 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Performs hearing screens and educates parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols; maintain state and hospital requirements.
• Assess screen readiness and screen only when conditions support reliable results.
• Collect data/demographics; perform screens; document per protocol.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies; schedule follow-up appointments when needed.
• Ensure timely upload of results and state reporting; reconcile per shift.
