Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screenings for newborns and to educate families about results and next steps. You will work on-site at Cumberland Medical Center and other hospital locations, with on-the-job training and certification through the American Academy of Audiology.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents about the relevance of newborn hearing screens.
• Document results and ensure data accuracy for each screen.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule outpatient follow-up.
