Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens for newborns in Lakeland, FL hospitals. You will receive on-the-job training and contribute to early detection of hearing loss while educating families.

The role requires following hospital policies, accurate data collection, and timely documentation of results and referrals, with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and teamwork in a busy neonatal setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.
• Preference for 1–3 months experience with newborns in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient screen readiness before screening.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby; perform hearing screen.
• Provide parent education on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Upload results and reconcile statistics by end of shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies.
