Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform infant hearing screenings in hospital settings and to educate parents about early intervention. The role requires on-site duties at Lakeland area hospitals with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

Responsibilities include screening eligible babies, collecting data, documenting results, and coordinating follow-up appointments when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient screen readiness before performing a screen.
• Collect demographics and data for each baby and perform screens.
• Upload screen results and billing/state reporting by shift end.
• Educate parents on the relevance of screening and follow-up steps.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
