Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital‑based newborn hearing screens at our Florida locations. You will receive comprehensive on‑the‑job training, including annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology.

As part of the team, you educate parents, ensure accurate data entry and reporting, and coordinate follow‑ups for referred babies. This entry‑level role requires weekend availability and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR Certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all policies and procedures, including PPE, vaccinations, orientations and compliance modules.
• Evaluate screen readiness and only screen appropriate babies.
• Collect all patient data and demographics, perform the hearing screen and related services, and document per protocol.
• Provide education to parents about the screen and its importance.
• Upload results and complete state reporting by the end of each shift; reconcile statistics.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies and schedule outpatient follow-ups.
• Deliver screens efficiently without compromising quality or education.
