Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and educate families on early intervention.

The role requires patient care, data entry accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols, with on-site shifts at Lakeland-area hospitals. Training is provided with annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
• Experience with newborns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Collect data for each baby and perform the screen with quality documentation.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies and provide ongoing patient education.
