Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to conduct hearing screens in hospital settings and educate parents on the importance of early intervention. The role includes on-the-job training and annual A audiology accreditation.

The position is on-site at AHN Wexford Hospital with responsibilities to ensure efficient, accurate screening and timely documentation. Ideal candidates are entry level with a HS diploma or GED, CPR certification, and flexibility to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss.
• Provide education to parents on screening relevance and early intervention.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby and perform screens.
• Ensure documentation compliance for every screen.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies where appropriate.
