Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens in hospital settings in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will collect data, screen newborns, and educate families on the importance of early intervention, adhering to safety and compliance protocols.

The role offers on-the-job training with annual American Academy of Audiology certification and opportunities to work across multiple hospital locations within Broward County.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens for eligible babies.
• Collect patient data and demographics for each baby; ensure accurate documentation.
• Provide education to parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Upload screen results, billing, and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with PPE, vaccinations, and safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned by site supervisor.
