Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to conduct hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and to educate parents on the importance of early intervention.

The role is on-site at Emory Eastside Medical Center, includes on-the-job training and certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology, and requires attention to patient comfort and safety. Candidates should be willing to work weekends and holidays and be prepared to lift and move supplies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Provide parent education on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Maintain accurate data and documentation for each screening.
• Follow PPE and compliance protocols as per hospital and company policies.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule outpatient appointments when appropriate.
