Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform in-hospital screening for newborns. The role includes on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology, with on-site work at hospital locations in the area.

The HST will screen patients, educate families, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting by end of each shift, contributing to early detection and intervention for hearing loss.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the relevance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Follow PPE, vaccination and hospital policies; maintain compliance.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby and document results.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
