Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is actively seeking Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team in Washington. You’ll provide direct psychiatric care to geriatric patients and collaborate with physicians to develop effective treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Washington licensure with psychiatry focus (Board of Nursing).
• Licensure to prescribe controlled substances (WA Pharmacy; DEA).
• Minimum 1 year geriatrics psych experience.
• Minimum 1 year SNF/Acute Rehab setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess mental status based on presenting symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-V disorders and craft treatment plans.
• Utilize psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological options as appropriate.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists on clinical cases.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners(PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Washington. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
