Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions in Nebraska is seeking an Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility therapy team. You will provide psychiatric services to geriatric patients in SNFs and long-term care settings across Hastings, Grand Island, and Fullerton.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Nebraska by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• Malpractice insurance if Independent Contractor (offered for W2 employees).
• 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience.
• 1 year in Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess patient mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply medical decision-making, including psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision‑making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Nebraska by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
• Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
