Regional Cancer Care Associates is seeking a detail‑oriented Patient Access Coordinator to manage new patient referrals, collect demographic and insurance information, and support onboarding in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Under supervision, you will coordinate scheduling, verify eligibility, maintain records in the practice management system, and communicate appointment details with compassion while upholding HIPAA.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years patient access/referral management experience in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of PMS and EHR platforms preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel) required.
• Proficiency with medical terminology and insurance benefits and eligibility verification.
• Must complete onboarding courses within 45 days of starting.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as liaison between referring providers, clinical teams, and new patients to coordinate care.
• Manage full referral process and triage patient needs based on urgency.
• Follow up with providers to obtain missing medical records and documentation.
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information for registration.
• Verify insurance eligibility and communicate appointment logistics and preparation instructions.
• Facilitate onboarding by distributing new patient paperwork and resources.
• Maintain physician schedules and coordinate scheduling with teams.
• Ensure patient records are accurate and updated in the system.
• Escalate time-sensitive issues to ensure timely resolution and patient satisfaction.
