Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Memphis is seeking a Sales Representative for New Installations to identify opportunities, engage with architects and contractors, and develop proposals to win new business. You will learn preliminary design tasks, budgets, and schedules, reading plans and specifications to prepare estimates and bids.

The role emphasizes meeting sales objectives, maintaining client relationships, and presenting to secure sales while leveraging strong industry contacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or minimum of 3 years of industry sales experience.
• Elevator industry or business to business sales experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software, Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information to locate sources for sale of company products and services.
• Learn how to perform preliminary design work with architects and general contractors; develop budgets and schedules; read and understand job plans & specifications; prepare estimates, bid proposals and make presentations to win the sale.
• Meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives; analyze customer needs and secure desirable business; maintain favorable client relationships.
